Ok... So it took me a while to actually start this...  I would say I've been busy but that really isn't true. I've just been procrastinating. (Which, by the way, I am only two major projects away from earning my Master Procrastinator Lapel Pin from the National Procrastination Association. I would have earned it much sooner, but...you know how things go... Also the NPA was supposed to review my file last year but, for some reason, they haven't ever got around to it yet)

 

Anyway... I have been trying to figure out what my first entry should be and finally decided to explain the reason I chose to call it ZwebbyVille. It's a simple explanation really. Tucked in between working as a Finance Director for an Auto Dealer and doing what I do now I worked for a short time building, designing, selling, etc websites. I got pretty decent at it and wanted my own site so I could have an email address without all the dashes and dots and numbers... I wanted a really simple four or five letter word that I could purchase the domain... After literally hundreds of attempts at finding an available one, I typed in zwebby and it was available. I thought it was kind of neat and was very excited that it was so easy to remember. I now had my simple domain name and a simple email address as well. But, like most things I do, I soon found out that it is really hard to say and understand, especially over the phone. I can't tell you how many times a conversation has went this way... "no... Z, as in zebra... yes then W... E... BeeBee... Y... no, B as in boy, yes then a second one... I don't know what it means... I made it up... No it's not a city in Africa... I said, I made it up..." You get the picture... But since I own it, I use it for everything and it works. So, now this blog is called ZwebbyVille, which may actually be a city in Africa...
